Frank Borman died at the age of 95.

He was the astronaut who read the Creation story during the first manned mission to orbit the moon.

He was born in Gary, Indiana, in 1928.

 He was a star quarterback in high school and went on to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

 He joined NASA and was assigned to the Gemini 7 and Apollo 8 missions.

 He was awarded the Congressional Space Medal of Honor.

He died on November 7, 2023.

Survived by two sons, he was predeceased by wife Susan in 2021.
